These curtains, from a recently installed project, are headed with a short 3” deep Soft French Heading and hang from a 1 ¼ “ diameter antiqued brass curtain pole with French returns. The French returns allow the curtains to sweep back to the wall, maximising the opening space for light and view, and offer an attractive alternative to poles with regular side architrave brackets, either as a solution for tight spaces, or simply as a chosen aesthetic. In some instances we might contrast line curtains on such a treatment, allowing for a glimpse of colour from a side view.
